Thursday’s Management Tip for Graphic Designers

I seem to be getting tons and tons and tons of emails daily. And the number seems to grow exponentially each week.

In fact, I think a full-time job may be just reading, handling, and answering all the emails that come my way.

Handling the influx of emails coming in and still stay productive

  1. Set up times during the day to answer emails (2-3 times a day should do it).
  2. Leave your email client off except for those times of the day that you will check them out
  3. Specify how long clients have to wait for your reply (1 business day? 2?)
  4. Set up different mailboxes for different email purposes

C O N C L U S I O N :

If you like to subscribe to internet marketers emails, don’t have these delivered to your business email address, as you will get bombarded by these and important client emails may fall through the cracks.

The newsletters you subscribe to may not be urgent, and they in turn, also send you other emails they feel you may be “interested” in. So, beware, keep these separate from your regular email address avoids you feeling overwhelmed by them and missing out on client emails.

Also, these types of emails, can be read while watching TV or in your spare time. Your client emails take priority and should be answered as quickly as possible.

Want yet another reason? The worst thing that can happen is that you are SPAMMED by all kinds of offers and you definitely don’t want those mixed in with client emails!
