Need to be constantly visible to prospects
Monday’s Promotion Tip for Graphic Designers
A vital part of promoting yourself is to constantly be visible to your clients and prospects.
Imagine this scenario if you will: You do everything right. You network, attend your local Chamber of Commerce meetings, hand out business cards and work the room. You get back to the office thinking that they will surely call you. They don’t. WHY?
It’s imperative to remember that just because you have given someone your business card and made a good first impression, doesn’t mean they will hire you. Sometimes, as luck would have it, they don’t have a design job at that moment. And when they do, they may not remember meeting you over a month ago.
Another important thing to consider is: they won’t hire you until they get to know you. Sometimes this means seeing your name 7-8 times!
How can you make sure that prospects won’t forget you…
You must keep in constant contact with prospects. You must devise a strategy to consistently keep in touch so that when they do have that design job, you are at the forefront of their mind.
